"How can I help?"
Our mission at Helmets For Hailey is to educate the nation about the importance of helmet safety. Not only wearing a helmet, but wearing it correctly. Hailey’s trip to the neighbor’s house was only going to take about 10 minutes. Yet it only took one second for her to loose her balance and crash on her bike and suffer such a traumatic injury. The little girl we knew on June 24th at 3 p.m. is gone forever. We all have to join together and spread the word so that lives are saved and injuries are prevented. So many people have asked us what they can do to help and how they can help raise money for this cause. Here are some suggestions on how you can help us…
Donations: All donations made to Helmets For Hailey, Inc., will go to assist Hailey with medical expenses and equipment needed, as well as educational materials and helmets for those in need.
Wristband Sales: Show your support by sporting a “Wear A Helmet For Hailey” wristband. The money received from wristband sales will go to assist Hailey with medical expenses and equipment needed, as well as educational materials and helmets for those in need. Please click on our link on the home page of this site to order your wristband. To order wristbands in large quantities, at a discount rate, to sell in your area please e-mail helmetsforhailey@msn.com. Wear a purple ribbon: Wearing a purple ribbon on your coat or shirt could strike up a conversation with a perfect stranger. Tell them about Hailey and how vital it is to wear a helmet. From this conversation you could have just saved a life. School projects: Help a youngster organize a report or school project on helmet safety. Fund Raisers: So many wonderful people nationwide have put together fund raisers to help Hailey. From bake sales and lemonade stands to comedy shows and concerts. You can do this too! Here are some ideas to help spread awareness and also raise money for Hailey: 1) Organize a simple bake sale at your local school or church. 2) Put together a bike ride at a park – Charge a small fee to enter the bike ride and raffle off some helmets or a bike 3) Use your talents and sell crafts at a local craft fair 4) Talk with your pastor or church leader to see if they would be willing to let you speak during a service to spread the word on helmet safety. 5) Sell wristbands at your local school, church, and in your community. 6) Set up a neighborhood garage sale.
